A 30 years working partnership is started
Cambridge Wong joined Matheson PFC (“MPFC”), a subsidiary of Jardine Pacific, as the Head of IT and became colleague of Christabel Chan, now the CTOO of WMC.
Birth of the PRAIRIE
Jardine Pacific spent USD5M to develop the PRAIRIE system, an enterprise level system that enabled a very efficient and scalable back office and fee-based model portfolio management service. Cambridge was the sponsor of the system.
MPFC was acquired by Towry Law Group.
Going beyond Hong Kong
The PRAIRIE System was successfully deployed to 9 cities in 8 countries including Europe, the Middle East, South East Asia and Japan.
Wealth Bridge Asia “WBA”
WBA was formed by a management buyout of the PRAIRIE system from Towry Law, who exited the Hong Kong market.
The company continued to provide operations, policy and client administration services.
Signed the first outsourcing customer, PFC International.
Signed on the first site-licensed customer, SHK Financial.
Web-based PRAIRIE was launched.
Features such as DMS, Fund Performance Charting, etc. were developed to enable clients direct access and greatly increased compliance support of the system.
WMC was formed with WBA business merging into the company to bring out the unit trust dealing and fee-based model portfolio management service capabilities.
WMC developed “Cubism”, a comprehensive web-based dealing, administration and portfolio management platform service.
